If you’re reading this you’re probably well acquainted with the energy rollercoaster of life today. From work pressures to family commitments to environmental factors, each of these things can affect our energy levels.
Does this sound familiar?
Is it a huge effort to get out of bed in the mornings? Is day-to-day life leaving you feeling lethargic? Are you dragging yourself through the day, feeling weak, tired and drained of energy? Do you have mental fog, slow thinking or difficulties concentrating? Rely on sugar and caffeine to get you through the day? What about that post lunchtime-lull or insurmountable evening tiredness?
Or maybe you get a second wind in the evening but wish you had that energy during the day, when you need it most? Do you struggle to fall asleep and/ or wake up in the night? Or have you always had low energy as far back as you can remember?
Good nutrition makes a BIG difference to energy levels. Just like if you put the wrong fuel into your car it won’t work properly, if you eat foods that aren’t right for you they will sap your energy and leave you feeling sluggish, instead of energising you- which they are supposed to do. And it’s not just what you eat, but how you eat that affects your energy levels- something that is often overlooked.
There are numerous key lifestyle factors which we often neglect but are absolutely key to re-energising. We also sometimes need to do some detective work to find out whether there are any hormonal imbalances (thyroid or adrenal glands for example) or nutrient deficiencies which can significantly impact on energy levels.
Ready to get back your mojo and take control over your well-being?
I use a combination of nutrition and lifestyle advice, along with psychological tools and motivational coaching to help keep you on track. Everything I use to help you reach your goals is grounded in solid research. From experience, the best way to help you achieve your goals is by working with you for a longer period of time (usually two months or longer). You are unlikely to reap long-term benefits from a ‘one-off’ consultation. Why? Because it takes 3 weeks to change a habit, 6 weeks to develop a new habit and 36 weeks to hardwire this new habit. And making changes requires planning, strategy and continuous fine-tuning to keep you on the right path.
“A goal without a plan is just a wish.” Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
